Drawn Story Boards
Real love for Akira Kurosawa's drawn story boards, was wondering in reportage sketching situation if could be used like story board as well.
His original art was focused around working class of his homeland aiming to put "unfulfilled political ideals directly onto the canvas." also parallel with own career he similarly started in another creative discipline and "found" filmmaking.
Published book 'Ran' to go with screen play that has mixture of script and sketches he drew to explain his ideas.
Could publish book with quotes, research within to contextualise films further. Really like how Kurosawas illustrations are just part of his working process but can be placed so that he can communicate scripts ect to public with more ease. Think about partnering photography ect with written work?
